Thinking of buying

Congratulations! After riding mostly Beemers (and a few Harleys) for 42 years, I decided to make a change last year. Now, I have a Breva 750, a Griso and an Aprilia Tuono. Sometimes, change is a really good thing and this is one of those times. I hope that you will enjoy your Guzzi as much as I'm enjoying mine.

I just bought the black Sport 1200 from European Motorsports in Dahlonega, GA yesterday, although it won't be shipped to me until next week. They now have the red one left. I just sold my Kawasaki ZX12R and the S12 is my replacement to start smelling the roses along the way, instead of blasting the petals off the rose! I made a trip down to Miami and back last Saturday (on my Kawasaki Concours 14) just to see if I fit (I'm 6'4", 1.93m). The standard bars seem just fine for me and my legs fit too. Fitting done, it was back to Tampa and check out the web for the best price for a black one (the one in Miami was already sold but still on the dealer floor). I am antiscipating a fun time on my Guzzi. Expect to change the exhaust can to a Quill (from U.K. with lifetime warranty and nicely priced at just under $400 including shipping) or a Staintune. I have heard both on YouTube installed on a Stelvio - sound good and improve the power too.

My first post. Hello guys.

Looks like there wont be many 1200's left pretty soon. I loved this bike when they came out in '08 but could never justify the cost. Now I feel like I'm getting a great deal! Good luck with your new bike, I think we're joining a rather exclusive, and fun club.

I picked a 1200 Sport up from a private owner in Va in October after looking around since July and love it. The PO had it sorted out real well, so for now I'm only going to redo the seat. It's a ton of bike for the money.
