Todd, would you happen to know if a new dash is put on & the mechanics code is put in, must the bike be taken to the dealer for anything else?
I put a new dash on my 06 Griso 4 years ago, performened everything required but I still receive a DASH message on the screen. That's the reason why I asked about the dealer?
Also is there anyway to get around using this untrustworthy dash? I would rather use analog, in reality they are more expensive to make but techno world wants everyone to believe the digital stuff is more expensive. Why I say this, I have a friend that's a PhD in EE.
Anyway any help is much appreciated.

No it would not. I've installed a few, even used, with zero issues. As Dave mentions above, are you just getting the "Enter User Code" on the main screen at key on?

I put in the user code it denied it after the dealer code. The only wording is "DASH". Nothing else.

If you aren't able to connect to the ECU using diagnostics, take it to a good dealer that has/uses PADS, and have them see what error codes are being thrown. Sounds to me like a faulty dash, or connection issue between the dash and ECU.

I am thinking it's another junk dash.
