In listening to you (our users), we have added new sub-categories to the top of each section to separate Reference Tech Topics & Recalls into one category. Please post as normal to this part of the forum, and administrators/moderators will move topics as deemed necessary.
The second Category is one for all products offered by me. Hope you find it useful.
As always, thanks for your continued support and participation. Without you, there would be no GuzziTech.com

Todd,

I think in trying to make things easier you may be over complicating things.

This site is fractured into so many catagories, sub-catogories and now sub, sub-catorories it is almost impossible to wade through. I for one can't figure it out. All I do anymore is login and look at new posts.

I tried looking at the classifieds but even there you have announcements and then topics. When you look at topics the dates for last post starting from the top and moving down are: July 12, Oct 12, July 11, Nov 12, Aug 12, Feb 09, March 12, Dec 12.

There is a lot of great information contained within this site it is just very hard (for me at least) to access and participate.

The comments that have been posted here and in direct PM/e-mails stated that often the active/relevant topics seem to be on the second page. The "pinned" threads always stay at the top, and since some of the categories had over a dozen of these alone, logic dictates that moving the Relevant/Critical Tech info should live in one heading at the top of the page/section. If it's not helpful, I can easily dump them all back into each main section.
If you have other suggestions other then dump them into one main category (other Forums do this and it is dis-organized and near impossible to find anything). I'm all ears.

I too simply click on New or Unread posts on each visit. I can't keep up with them all either, and I spend a good deal of time online here.

First Todd, thank you for an awesome resource. I have contributed (albiet small) and will make it a point to make more contributions. Since I'm new here, take my comments as such but I tend to agree with Perrazzimix. My habit is to now just look at new posts, or just focus on the V7 category (I think the bike specific categories are very good).

I like the categories. Especially from the Tech standpoint, when i'm looking for info specific to a machine type. I appreciate this website for it's Tech focus and expertise. I've had no problem searching & finding info that's been posted. When i can't find exactly what i'm looking, i pm or email. For me, taking the time to become familiar with the categories makes it easier to find info i need.

Thanks for the input guys. Andy (et al), the split changes nothing as to the "New Posts" option (you will still see them of course). Many years ago, I used to point all of my other .com's (MG-Griso, MG-Stelvio to name just two) to each section individually. I now just point those at the main page here on the Forum.

There have been countless times (especially when under a time crunch to produce it, that) I needed to reference something and couldn't find it, even with a search, so the Moderators and myself will simply move relevant and often referenced posts/material to the new section. Use it as a go-to for pertinent info on each model.

Again, if there is no merit in this divide, I can delete them and dump them all back into the main section here. But keeping them organized seems most prudent.

Still open for comments, so keep them coming.
