Howz this for a TV show idea. A poor bald monk and his goat from a far off exotic land wanders the world in search of Nirvana and every week stumbles across a motorcyclist in dire need. He then remedies the mechanical situation and saves the town all in one fell swoop! Kind of a cross between Kung Foo and Lassie!
Too much beer,,I sleep now.

Are you going to cast Roper in the lead role?

How long can I dodge a bullet? Eventually some prick is going to be completely unsatisfied by an internet diagnosis and I'll be the bigest c#nt yet un-hung.

I have no idea what the problem with this bloke';s bike is, nor do I know if it is in the warranty range. I've thrown the offer up, mid afternoon, today and so far there has been no response. Like I give a fuck? I'm on holliday.

If it IS a cam issue? I can do the job in four hours maximum. (With basic hand tools.). THat still won't address the oil pump issues but that is denied by the factory so we're stuck.

I'm no genius but claiming that you don't have the tools means you are either a moron or don't care. I care. I'd love to help. But at the end of the day its SEP. I'm on holliday...........

umm What?

Pete's referring to a post on the WildGuzzi forum where a fellow Guzzi rider here in Ottawa took his Griso into the local shop to have some valvetrain noise looked at and was told by the dealer that the shop did not have the appropriate tools to work on the new 8V engines. Probably never told him that they also don't have a mechanic to work on they either. So it's been sitting there for three months because the dealer is as useless as tits on a nun. I'm surprised the Griso owner hasn't gone postal yet.

Anyway, the Roper Travelling Circus will be rolling into Toronto tomorrow, Tuesday 10th August. If anybody wants me to check their bike out with NAvigator and upload any updates gimme a ring this evening. We bought a drug dealer's phone so we have connectivity! Obviousky it's a US# and I don't know if the networks are shared in Canada? Anyway. It's 687 379 3741.

We're really quite civilized and don't bite but please remember I am NOT a representative of Piaggio so shouting at ME because your bike has problems will get very short shrift.

Ya about dealers ....
Well ....... we have all sorts of clowns up here also Pete.
We wouldn't mind you picking some up ....to join the Circus!

Can't make it on such short notice Pete, but enjoy your vacation!!

Too bad your not a little later in the week in this area Pete, the stupidity of Friday the Thirteenth is upon us! Mega 1000's of "motorcyclists" gather at the small village of Port Dover on every 13th to do.....whatever they do,,,drink eat, look at bikes, pose! By all accounts its a pretty good time. Sally and I go the other way if the weather is good and usually end up in Niagara on the Lake (a lot quieter) :D We only live 30 min from the port and can hear the sounds of the open pipes until 1 or 2 AM. Hope you enjoy your holiday up here,,in another 5 months it will be about -20 odd C in most of the province!!!
Enjoy
Peter
