I saw an ad for a 7" round LED headlight made by truck lite and was thinking of trying one on my Griso.. Anyone have any experiance with these? I wonder how they compare to HID lights.. Ive seen the LED's on the new Harleys and they are crazy bright and am hoping to get simular results on my Griso.. They are about $200. a piece so they are not cheap but a friend was quoted $800. to upgrade his 2012 Harley by the local dealer..

i just ordered one off ebay for $196 shipped for my V7's 7" basket, someone else had used it and said it looked good. I want the amp load savings.. I have LED's on my truck but they do cast a bluish temp and I find depth of field is kinda reduced. but I have flood/spot combo 20" bar so it might not be the same. I'll post up my results.

why buy new??? If you know someone that works for a body shop, that's the best way to go paying half or nothing!!!

Im sure most of us dont have friends with a body shop and although Im not a car guy I dont know of any new cars that come with LED headilghts stock (maybe a Benz or Beemer?) to get them from...The problem with buying used is that the mfg's of these lights are constantly coming out with new and much better versions and from what Ive seen the early generations of LED's were pretty bad..If you wanna play you gotta pay..

I have seen this on a cheepo parts site in OZ and doubt its value . (I was looking for a shell to butcher to put in a retro fit HID projector ), 3 by 3 watt led with only one on low beam doesn't seem like enough .

The averaged household 60 watt incandesant puts out up to 650 -800 lumen ( 15 to 20 lumens/watt ) a cree led could put out 100+ lumens per watt in real time use(200+ in the lab running very hot and with high colour range) so with one led on low beam(300 lumens?)dullsville, all three led's running I'm guessing this unit just struggles to put out the equivelant light (lumens). A good Quarts Halogen bulb is probably better ! ! !

Try pinging off a email to get the lumens as that will tell you the light output tho not the quality of the beam or spread
No light colour range listed and a cheep chinese construction .... I wouldn't bother

Actual light output apart, I would be concerned about the quality of the beam, LEDs will require very different lens/reflector setup.
I have seen LED replacements for incandescand bulbs, but they are not worth anything unless it's just for show.
