Hello All;

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic knob that is used on the turn signal lever? I was given a very nice red aluminum one that I would like to use. It uses a grub screw to stay put. I cannot see anyway to remove the stock one as it looks like it has been molded on as a single piece.

Thoughts?

Shawn

In my opinion, if it works, don't try to fix it. I think the only way to remove it is to crush the plastic off the stem of the switch. This could lead to switch failure if not careful. Also what you were given, may not fit the switch stem.

Good points John
I'll leave it alone. I looks more closely last night and the stock knob is not designed to be removable.

This title at least related to my issue at the most. My left turn signal knob works perfect but right do not light the signal every time I push, if it works(rarely) I need to push hard to turn it off because the resistance is higher than a normal knob. John mentioned it's not a easy job to open it so I think the issue file is getting thicker for the first service visit.

The issue is internal to the switch. The housing does come apart and it may be repairable. Since it is a first service visit my guess is it is still under warranty. If under warranty the switch gear can be replaced under warranty.
