Does anyone have experience with retro fitting a self cancelling turn signal module such as Signal Dynamics? Failing that does anyone have recommendations and/or experience with some sort of self cancelling method other than the rider remembering to cancel?

Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure how a system might work with the new Guzzi systems. Turn signal flashing is controlled by the electronics in the dash module. Any additions to the system may cause harm to the dash systems. On older machines with a standard flasher unit I would hook up a 12 volt Piezo buzzer ( http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062397 )between the left and right side turn signals. As one side is activated, the other side acts as a ground path. Perhaps using two on the new system would be safe as it isn't much of an additional load. That is hook one to each side. Hopefully one of the electrical engineer types on the forum will lend their assistance.

Gerry, As John says the turn indicators are controlled by the Dash electronics. If you want to fiddle, it would be probably be best to wire up a new set of blinkers including control away from the dash. It would be quite easy to disconnect the wiring in one of the plugs in the dash and you could do what you want from there.

Personally I wouldn't try to muck about with the dash electronics as the price of a replacement dash will give you heart palpitations.

Let us know how you go...

Thanks guys! I think I will ask the dealer inasmuch as it involves the instrument cluster, which I deem off limits for me. I will post their reply when I get one late next week. They have been very helpful in the past. Guzzi Steve is a wizard.

An alternative might be an audible warning repeater. Several are now available from the simple bleeper to ones which only start to warn you after a number of flashes.
I use the simple type, very cheap and easy to fit.
