Still getting acquainted to the Griso, loving it so far. Even the li'l woman admits "It's pretty damn cool" so, I've got that going for me.
I've searched and found a lot of my questions but:
1. The tech manual lists 8 bolts securing the valve cover, mine has six on each side. Looking at the photos in the manual it almost looks like there's only six but I can't really tell. There is zero oil leaking/seeping. The two (four total) that I'm missing are the uppermost two. Is a trip to the hardware store in order?
2. First gear doesn't always engage at first. It's almost like there is an interlock that prevents me from riding until the bike has warmed up for a few minutes. I've always been able to find first while riding. always. But starting out, I've tried shifting through the other gears, going in/out of N, etc., second engages w/o problems.
The bike only has 4100k miles on it and seems fairly well taken care of.
TIA
John
ps, I'll post pics once I get a chance to.
