Tyre (tire) Pressure Monitor Systems

I don't care for the systems on the new BMWs. It is a bulky item inside the rim and it makes tire changes even more difficult with the shallow dish rims BMW is using. The ones BMW is using are like the automotive ones and part of the valve stem. Expensive when they fail as the battery cannot be replaced.

They could be like my Triumph Trophy SE TPMS modules. Inside the rims, with a supposedly non-replaceable battery. However, smart and economical guys have figured out a way to take the TPMS apart and replace the CR2032 battery, changing a $175 job into a $3 job, which included having the dude at the battery store spot-weld two new contact strips on the battery .... After doing that, I wouldn't consider any battery non-replaceable!

Well I picked up my 2022 V85TT in the Travel version and yes sure enough it reads tire pressure and temp monitoring on the display which is a nice feature.

This is the promo clip that mentioned tire pressure monitoring when I was shopping for the 2022 V85TT Travel to purchase
