It seems I have run into a problem finding a replacement battery for the Griso (the Yuasa YTX20ch-bs). It seems like no one imports it into the UK.... and I have been trying to find alternatives but so far they have been all to big as the stock battery is only 150mm x 87mm x 161mm.

If anyone has found an alternative or know of a stash anywhere please could you here as Im guessing this is a problem which will more people will runinto in the future once the current batteries start to die...

The griso is the same as a breva V1100?? Mine runs fine on a varta YTX20BS £68 from tayna.co.uk. Yes thae varta is 2cm longer, you just trim the plastic on the holder.

Macrus, you live in uk if so where abouts ?Have you tried a main guzzi dealer for battery i had no problems getting one from Twiggers m/c loughborough ,this countrys that small i would go on Moto Guzzi GB site and see if anyone near by would lend you one to check bike out.If it was warmer i would be happy to travel any part of country to help out ,so am sure someone local would help you.Come on get your act together and sort this little problem. All the best

Here is an update in case anyone is struggling to get the Yuasa....

I finally managed to get the bike to the dealers about a week ago, where they replaced my the battery with the following:

Varta LF YTX16-BS (514 902 022)

as according to my dealer they no longer manufacture the Yuasa YTX20CH-BS and this is the battery which Moto Guzzi UK now recomend as a replacement, even though it is down on ampage...at only 14Ah and 220 CCA...but so far so good... I will let you know how I get on after a few months of riding...

Thanks for update, have made note of battery.Hope u get to enjoy the Griso from now on.Happy new year

Just to let you know... two months later and the battery is doing fine.
