Unusual Tonti suspension

Has anyone seen this? Seen a lot of things Guzzi, nothing quite like this. Double hinge?

It's on George's site? I take it that one or other of the visible arms are torque arms. One on the brake side is probably for a floating caliper plate. One on the drive side is probably for the bevelbox. One would hope that the bevelbox and brake plates have sealed bearings in them?

All looks horribly complex and heavy for something that is simply going to float the rear drive box. My Mate Dave has a similar set up that is lighter and more elegant on his Lemans IV. It sill managed to try to saw it's whee; spindle off, even with bearings!!!

Wow, I really admire the guy's enginuity and skill but wonder if the effort is worth the benefits. Would love to hear from the owner about why he did it and if it achieved what he wantd. Assuming it's about shaft effect, I find that Tonti Guzzi's have very little compared to early BMW's or Yamahas etc. It just makes you set up early and sweep through under light power, which many think is how it should be done anyway. :woohoo:
