Has anyone fitted the Guzzi auxilliary USB socket in the dashboard, and if so how easy was it? Does the blanking plug just pull out,and how easy was it to find the connector?
Not connected to this question, but is the bang when going into first gear going to be harmfull to the bike longterm? The mechanical sympathy side of me is slightly worried!

I put a USB socket in so I can connect my phone. Took about 10 minutes tops. Small dash panel is removed, and the electrical connector for the plug is right there. Trickiest part (not that it was difficult) was lubing and sliding the grommet in place. Patience. But, a simple job. Tip - if you don’t plan on using the rear socket under the pillion , one ”could” move it to the front😉.

Re transmission clunk - I think they all do it - my Mandello only has 1200 miles on it, so I can’t comment on long term effect for this one… but, my ‘15 Norge clunked even worse, and there were no ill effects after 22k miles (when I traded it). A Guzzi “feature” 😑.

Thankyou for your swift reply.Does the dash panel just pull out,or do you need to get behind it and push it?

Two hex heads (yellow arrows), and it pops out (red outline) allowing access to the connector behind… and, easy install of the plug into the panel.
