V1100 Breva Crankshaft Nut?

Well I finally fired up the Olde Guzzi Italiana after a winter. I started him up and heard a noise like I installed a Wipple Supercharger overnight. I assumed the alternator belt was loose and to my disdain I noticed my crankshaft nut was not present for this season. My question is does anyone happen to know the diameter and pitch of the nut that is absent for the party this season. Also I noticed that im not getting a good charge from the alternator any ideas for the young guzziest?
 
Nut is a standard M16. Be aware that there should be a Belleville washer behind it. The pulley is keyed to the nose of the crankshaft. If the nut has jumped ship the pulley has probably sheared the key and is spinning on the crank which would explain your lack of charging.

Thank you very much for the information on the nut that has decided to vanish. The Irony of this is the belleville washer fell into the plastic shroud that covers the pullies, but no nut to be found anywhere in their. Thank You very much:)

That damn Luigi. I think he had too much chianti when he put my bike together.
 
Mine came loose once and slowly fell off during a cross-country trip. Made it to Moto-Nexus and they fixed me up. The pulley and nut needed replaced, but the crankshaft, thankfully, was not hurt. Must've been lweft a little loose from the factory.
