Hi All.

I'm in the process of renovating the Gosling and feel the need to replace the coils (cos Dave Richardson says they're crap). I have a Dyna S ignition and the Silent Hecktik bits to replace the regulator and rectum fryer.
What I need is specific advice on replacement coils.
Any and all would be gratefully received.

Sounds like a waste of money to me. They have obviously done the job for the last 30 years so what's the issue?

If they measure to spec and produce a good spark then what more do you want? :?

Check the ignition circuit is providing a good 12V to them and the earths are good but beyond that waste your money if you feel the need.

Just my opinion.

What's really the problem with your ignition coils? If you want to replace the coils the I suggest that you get some good coil packs.

I went w/ Dave Richardson's suggestion in Guzziology for Flame Throwers. Cheaper and better than Dyna per Guzziology. But then, as intimated here, who knows what's up w/ a coil 'til it fails - when they do poop out you'll wish for the best, I guess. :?:
