Currently on the V50III is a pair of Basso straight pipes. They sound really nice, but they are very straight. Are there any moderately upswept sportier looking pipes available for a V50III?

Are the Breva 750 head pipes the same diameter as the V50's? If they are, I could possibly fit the Staintunes on.

Thanks,

Doug

Out of my mind, the Breva pipes are 38 mm diameter.
If that's any help.

OK, as I demounted the pipes today for installing a Stucchi cross-over, I took measures

The sleeve at the opening is 39 mm. Bottleneck is 32 mm and it opens up to 37,5 mm for the pipe.

Thanks for that. Now all I have to do is measure the V50III and see what size it is. Hopefully it's the same.

Anyone know what these pipes are on this? They sound great and look nice.

They look like Bub's to me, mainly by the shape and flat black finish. When I was heavily into Guzzi's in the 1980's - 1990's, Bubs were very popular among the big twin (Guzzi) crowd, and there weren't too many other aftermarket choices out there.

It appears now that Dennis Manning (Bub's Owner) isn't interested in Guzzi's anymore, since I don't see any mention of Guzzi on his website.

I had Bub's on one of my MK III LeMans', sounded great but fit/quality was iffy at best. Definetly a 'garage' business back then. The mufflers were made of steel and painted flat black, hi-temp paint. They could rust out rapidly. On the Plus side, they sounded great and were relatively cheap to replace. I used to repaint mine every 6 months or so.

97 1100 Sport cracked header pipe

Hi,
was wondering what material the 97' 1100 sport header is, non magnetic, stainless? Is it possible to tig weld crack or will this keep happening? I've seen the stainless header pipes on the web page, look very nice, $$$$$ though. If the welding doesn't do the fix what's the present turn around time for the Guzzi Tech header? Thanks Kevin

Headers are stainless after all, like tig welding an egg shell but weldable. Got good beads on it, just have to see how it weathers.
