The subject pretty much says it.
I have checked the brushes and cleaned everything.
I am not getting fire on either set of points. :S
battery is hot, turns over fine.
Suggestions?
coils?
Thanks in advance.
I'll check back in an hour or so.

John,
Had no voltage to points.
1. I tried to remove kill switch from housing (how do you do this?) Cut wires, tied together, had no voltage.
2. started unplugging connectors and checking voltage.
3. disconnected main wire to coils found voltage
4 when reconnected to coils , I had voltage all the way to the points.
5. hit starter, points sparked, then could see no more sparks , but still had voltage to points when open.
6. Main problem was apparently just bad connection.
7. Why no continued sparking at points ? Bad points? Bad coil? Just to blind to see ;)

The points shouldn't spark much, that is what the condenser is for. Big question is are the coils firing now?

Tomorrow I will put the tank on and see what happens.
It tried to start with the fuel in the bowels , so on some level it is working.

:? Only when I am working on a Guzzi.
The side that was firing occasionally had a bad plug, the side not firing had bad points.
Coils are fine although I found a used set just in case.
Waiting on points.

:D Put in points and hit the button and it fired right up .
Next question:
It had two non matching cone K&N cone air filters, so I put two new matching filters that fit on it.
Should I change the main jets or leave all the same ?
It does not, nor have I, the original airbox.
Thanks in advance

Until you ride it, you won't know, but probably no change is needed.
