V7 Accessories

any update on this? I'm looking at some baak products but would gladly support USA made products instead

FYI - I am currently in a dispute with BAAK over a seat I purchased. I am expecting it "can" be resolved. I would suggest you ask for a picture of the exact product they are mailing to you and ensure you are happy before it arrives in the US. I have the 2-up seat and fender eliminator and very happy...less so with a solo seat.

I have ordered a few items from BAAK as well - the fender eliminator (which I was quite happy with-took some minor 'adjustements' for fitiment) - last items ordered were the side bag and tank strap - unfortunately I understand leather (depending on the hide) will have different colour and texture - however, I was a little dissapointed with both items - and the workmanship on the strap. The alluminum brackets had a couple scratches at the grommets - could tell it happened when putting it together. I have 2 seats for my V7 so I also asked if they would sell me matching hide that they made my other parts in (so I could have my seat recovered) - the answer was I could SHIP THEM my seat and they recover at a discounted price, which in the end would have cost less just to purchase the seat from their site (which I explained to them but they didnt understand, shipping, duties, taxes etc.).

That's enough for me to not want to deal with them. Maybe I'll get something custom made down in Mexico for cheap

To be fair, the 2-up seat and fender eliminator I have were really well done. The solo seat simply wasn't. I am really bummed as I was expecting the same quality I previously experienced with them. There are plenty of folks in the US that will do a nice seat for you on your OEM pan. Like I have posted before I was attracted to BAAK as it was a true plug-n-play up till now.....had their own supply of OEM seats too.....just unpack and pop on your bike. Hopefully I will get my issue resolved but I am not happy at the moment.
