V7 cold start issues

Good afternoon here people.I am hoping for info on the repair of a fault with 2 machines. V7 racer and v7 Classic. both twin throttle body and both between 5 and 10 k kilometers old.
no start issues when cold. engine cranks ok but when and if it fires, it wont accept any throttle and stalls. Every now and then there is no problems cold but generally are a bitch to get started. All ok when hot.
Valves have been done and checked again. throttle switches are ok according to navigator. Synchronising is good and nothing has been fiddled with except basics as mentioned.
Would appreciate feedback.

The salesman I bought mine from couldn't ever get it started. I think he was used to the sophisticated FI systems on the bigger bikes and Ducatis. At any rate, I quickly learned to crack the throttle before I ever hit the starter button. Do you ever open the fast idle before you attempt to start it? That helps, too. The EFI system doesn't richen the mixture or anything when its cold. All you can do is open the throttle. You should also check your TPS and make sure its set correctly.

That worked fine for me and then I had Todd flash my ECU which gave me a richer mixture (everywhere, btw). Start issues all but went away. And then I put an aftermarket exhaust on it (and another flash to compensate). Better breathing equals better starts.
