Cruisin' Guzzisti
This is probably same as other V7 versions, but after the fiasco I had with a non-Guzzi dealer trying to remove my wheel, I decided to do it in my garage to become familiar. It is too easy, and took me a timed 18 minutes. (I do have a center stand.) Remove left muffler and left shock. Remove axle holder bolt and caliper hanger bolt, place caliper away from wheel, comfortably. Remove axle nut and pull axle out. Then remove right shock lower bolt to drop the drive. Jostle wheel to the left as the rubbers fall out. Tip wheel left and right and it comes out on side of rear fender. Tools needed are 24mm socket or wrench, 5, 6, and 8mm allen bits, and a 13 mm socket. I will use some silicone sealant on the rubbers when reinstalling to help hold them in place for next time. After the fact, edit...Also helped to put some rubber lube where the hub goes into the rubbers, slides right in without catching.
