Hello I own a 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer and I am looking to get some upgrades to it.

I just ordered a new set of mufflers from Agostini in Italy

A friend suggested a better air filter and a product from the AF1 racing site called the Fat Duc O2 Emulator. Something to richen the fuel mixture.

Also interested in a performance chip. The store on this site has products I don't really understand like a Power Commander.

If anyone has some suggestions on how I can get improve the performance of my bike I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Richard

Best money you can spend is have your ecu reflashed by Todd here at Guzzitech. And best information is also on this site if you do some research. I have the ecu reflash along with the guzzitech 2 into 1 exhaust and the air filter that is also offered here. Better to do your research before you start spending money. Good luck

Hi Richard, first congrats on the V7R. Hope you'll add your info to the Pic and Registry thread.
Secondly, as stated above, do some research/reading here in this section, then feel free to write me direct email; Todd at GuzziTech.com with any additional questions. The ECU flash is the only solution for the '13+ V7s.
Sensor "foolers" do not work on the newer bikes... TONS of incorrect info online and via friends.

A better flowing air filter can be nice, but often "better flowing" means less filtering. That may or may not be an issue for you. I have run better flowing / less filtering filters on many an internal combustion engine with no issues. But not everyone has the same opinion of free flowing filters.
"Chips" are not common anymore. Nowadays, either a reflash or something like a power commander will let you alter the fueling. Todd has a couple of options for the V7. I have his stuff on my Griso and it works very well. The cheaper widgets that try to trick the ECU into adding more fuel are crude devices that offer limited benefits and have numerous downsides. I would not suggest using one, but it is s free country.
I do like the 2 into 1 exhaust option. It performs better and has, what I think, is a better sound than a 2 into 2.
