Hi,
Didn't like the throttle response on my V7II and now that I ordered new grips I got a new throttle sleeve in my attempt to get it to roll smoother.

When I took the throttle control apart I noticed the throttle return cable was sort of disengaged - was loosened all the way and it didn't seem to have any effect.
So the throttle was only actioning the delivery cable and pulled back by the spring in the throttle body. - Is that normal?

When I installed it back with the new throttle sleeve, greased, I also adjusted the return cable so that it's more in sync with the main cable.. but now it's even less smooth! :wondering:

Is this something to do with the cable routing, is it common practice to loosen the return cable?

IMO if the return is too tight it fights back, while if too slack then it can try to kink the wire inside the Bowden tube/spring/whatever its called!

I suggest that you fuss with it a bit more, but it can be a bit tricky to get it "just so"

My throttle would stick after I put new grips on. Turns out I pushed the grip on too far and it was rubbing. If only yours is that simple.

Ha! I wish, had that before now I'm aware of it..
Seems to have to do with the cables
