When I got the recall notice for the faulty valve in the evap system, I had the dealer remove the entire thing. Visually, it makes a real difference without that black can hanging under the engine.
I have a question for any V7C, Cafe, or Racer owners that have also removed the evap system. Did you notice any changes in the way the engine runs? My bike was running really great before removing the evap system. It was running better than it did when it was brand new. With the evap system removed, it seems to run even better. I know that should not have made any difference, but throttle response seems better, popping on deceleration is gone, and we were able to lower idle rpm by a couple of hundred rpm. Idle was at 1100 - 1200 now it is at 900 - 1000.
Does the evap system affect the balance between the throttle bodies?
I should also note that the bike has 9500 miles and I had a MemJet intake air temp spoofer installed at 3400. I also have Mistral exhaust cans installed.
