I test road a V7C earlier this week. Wonderful experiance. The only thing I would like to change, is the shifter position. I need it to move upward to allow my boot to settle under the shifter. Right or wrong, that's how I have always positioned my bike's shifter. It can't be adjusted by repostioning the lever on it's spline as in my Breva 1100. The adjustment would have to be done via the threaded rod below the motor. It doesn't look to me as though the available threads would allow the shifter to be adjusted enough to allow what I need . Has anyone out there in Guzzi Land had this same requirement ? if so, how did you solve the problem?
thanks for any input you may share, Max

Max, I ride with my boot under the lever too. I wanted to move the shift lever back, and I ended up drilling a hole in the lever and putting in a cap screw w/ fuel hose for cover, to serve as a new lever.

Isn't there some up/down movement available by disconnecting the lever, and moving it to the next spline? My V7C is built that way. Although I agree, the spline is "further back" i.e. not as direct to the lever as in the early Brevas.

I didn't spot the spline while checking out the possibility of moving the shifter up. Couldn't get my noggin' screwed around enough to look that far under the bike. i will take a better look at this now. I'm looking forward to owning and riding this little jewel.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help out. Max

Thanks Joe, I went back to the dealer to check this out and you are correct. The spline is there, just farther under the bike. When I purchase the bike, in the near future I hope, I'll ask the dealer to adjust the lever before I take it home. The bike sure feels light weight and easy to handle because of that. Really looking forward to owning and riding the V7C. I currently own a Breva 1100 and it's one beautiful machine in every way. But it's just too heavy for my arthritic hands and wrists. The V7C felt much better and will work out better for me. The dealer has only the pearl white model and I haven't seen the black V7C in person. I'd like to see the black one too before purchase. The pearl white is really stunning though. thanks for your help, max
