V7iii Stone first service interval

Dealer says 600 miles and manual says 900 miles. Anyone know for certain?

Go with the dealer mileage. He will be your support. 300 miles earlier than what the manual says will do no harm. Getting any wear particles out is what is needed and re-rorque of the heads if called for based on the type of head gaskets used on the V7iii.

900 is right. the older ones were 600. more because of the head re-torque than anything else. FYI no re-torque on the III. He should know that. valves are 4 & 6 on the III and I bet he doesn't know that either along with the right amount of oil volumes! Then again even the factory owners manual writers don't know.

Could you explain what you mean by "valves are 4 & 6" also did you do .0010 .0015 or .0015 .0020?

I think Vagrant is referring to 4 thou and 6 thou on inlet and exhaust which equates to 0.1mm and 0.15mm
