V9 Air Filter question

I am wondering if anyone has had any issues doing a pod filter, or is it better to keep the airbag and do a K&N? I figured since the intake is covered pretty much. Thoughts or suggestions?

Depends on how much you want to spend. Either mod will require fueling help from Todd. Even stock it needs help. The more modifications you make, the greater the expense. From personal experience these machines tend to do best pulling in still air from the stock air box. K&N plus pipes plus fueling would probably give the best results.

What is stated above is true, and on all V7 & V9s from 2013 to current, the “air box” holds the battery amd other electrics. What is your plan for the battery? Are you doing this to remove the sode covers or just for “improved” power? If for power, the air box is well proven.

Thanks, I wasn't planning on relocating the battery or side covers, I was just curious as for some old Japanese Bikes I had pod filters caused a power loss, I have pipes coming tomorrow.

My dealer told me that i wouldn't have to tune anything and to just let the bike run until warmed up and the computer would adjust the fuel.
It doesn't do this, I wish people (and dealers more so) would stop assuming such nonsense. There is a TON of info on this Forum about fueling, and the tool I offer to do it is here; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/gt-motocycles-v7-v9-ecu-re-flash-tool - there's cheaper options out there, but as they say, you get what you pay for. ;)

Thanks man, I just agreed with him to change the topic lol, a quick question though, if I order something from y'all whats the usual shipping time? I am closer to the other coast, so like 5-7 days?
