i have considerable hip pain while riding my Bobber especially my left leg while shifting. The story goes I bought a 0 mileage 2016 for an incredible discount.
I tried the 2017-18 peg position but being 6.1 230 lbs it was pretty uncomfortable.
So I left the pegs forward. At first I was fine...now with city driving it’s quite painful... any suggestions.... should I move the pegs? Change seat? Suspension?

I would start by making the seat taller. At your height 2 to 3 inches of increased seat height may give you some relief.

If you carry your wallet in a back pocket you might try a different spot like a jacket pocket.

There are so many variables it's almost impossible to give good advice but before changing seat, bars etc...
Try moving around on the seat, position your feet differently on the pegs IE: try riding with just your toes on the pegs then try your heels on the pegs.
Change your grip on the bars, lean forward, lean backward

Will do

Is there anyway to do that with the standard seat? They gave me the 2017 seat. I’ll also be adding more preload
