Well again I come to the knowlidgable one"s ,you guys on here.
I thought that a mate and I had fixed and stopped the vibration that is really annoying me ,and driving me t o drink ,the muffler vibration on my nevada 750.We thought we had fixed it ,mainly the right muffler, and after taking measures and finding that the left muffler is 3/14 inches and the right is 31/2 inches from frame bolts t o inner side of mufflers ,we tried t o move it and thought we had it ,but after running it again today and after a few minutes the rattle/vibration comes back,So why?Could it be the crossover or something else .The bike has touring rack and bags also ,could this be the problem.I am now getting frustrated ,so anybody?cheers Peter

First of all; did you have the TPS and throttle balance checked, as suggested on another forum?

This is a well known cause for motor vibrations for the EFI-smallblocks. You cannot adjust TPS without some kind of electronic device, either a VDST or at a Piaggio shop, using a Navigator. (Well, you can, by using a precision multimeter)
Throttle balancing are done by using carb-sticks, Twinmax or similar, or a home-made device.
All these procedures are described in other threads here.

I cannot tell for the Nevadas, but the Breva mufflers can be a bit, well - out of center, and on mine not particular well fastened to the front pipe. If you got vibrations caused by out-of-balance as above, I can imagine you'd see and feel the vibrations on various places on the bike.

Yes Holt ,had tps adjusted last week by a very clever man ,so it may be that the pipes are out of alignment,so might just try and put maybe some more rubber mounts to stop the vibration ,,what do you think?

The two holes in the mounting brackets can be slotted so the muffler slides further into the pipe. Did this on my Breva and sloved the problem. There was a bulletin from Guzzi about doing this.

Pete ,vibration happens around idle speed to as you rev it about 2500 rpm,and no it wasnt doing it before the barrels were worked on up the coast ,but did a little looking this morning and noticed that the crossover muffler underneath was out by about 1/8 of an inch ,so loosened the nut on the right nearest muffler ,moved the crossover muffler in a little ,tightened the nut again ,and started bike again and reved it a bit ,no vibration as yet ,so could that have been the trouble?Peter
