So, when I sent my ecu off to Malibu for a new map I thought I'd use the downtime to do a few other jobs.
One of these was to change the hydraulic fluid clutch and brakes.
The front brake felt a bit graunchy to me so better safe than sorry I thought I'd fit a new service kit.
I was finishing up yesterday and opened the package with my new service kit to find it was not the right one.
Cut a long story short it seems that Brembo don't sell service kits after someone in the States fitted a service kit incorrectly wrecked his bike and then sued them. It makes you wonder why Brembo still sell brake pads, perhaps something to do with a lot more money to be made on pads than service kits.
Anyway, all back together, annoyingly without the dust cap which had a tear in it and came apart when I took the master cylinder apart.
I think if I get any problems with the master cylinders I'll just bin the whole unit and fit something Japanese.

Don't know about the 09, but the '13 has the same brakes as a new 1200gs and I'm pretty sure I've seen kits available for those.
Just had a look for BMW brake spares can't see them listed anywhere, I'd love to be wrong, the stelvio has a 16mm bore.
Have you actually seen them listed anywhere Tom?

I ran into this same problem trying to rebuild the Brembo 'Goldline' calipers on my Ducati GT1000.
After some research by a friendly parts lady at Munroe Motors in San Francisco I found that Brembo had indeed stop supplying rebuild kits directly in the US. They wanted every bike manufacturer to sign Liability Waivers before they would let them sell those kits thru with their parts network.
All the manufacturers refused - except KTM ! Those frivolous wacky Austrians eh ??
So, I found the same caliper on a KTM Duke (which just has one front disc), and ordered.

Might be worth cross-referencing to a KTM or other dealer ??

Jeremy's right - my mistake. It's KTM not BMW. I remember reading something on the Aprilia forum saying only KTM were prepared to take liability, so they're the only ones who sell kits. Someone over there recommended bikersjersey.com in the UK

Just called a couple of KTM dealers who were very helpful but no master cylinder repair kit sold for 1200 Duke, only for enduros 11mm kits.

I really wished I hadn't started this I can't get the air out of the system now.

@Ray1150 Very very old tread I know... just curious how/if you ever resolved your issue to rebuild or replace the master cylinder?
