I just did a front to back fluid change in a "new to me" 2010 Stelvio. 26600 miles on it, cam failed at 22500 I think the fluid was changed either then or at 20500. the tranny oil was a bit milky like it had some water in it. all other oil was fine. after 10 Guzzis and always doing my own maintenance I have never seen this. I can't see the breather and don't remember where it is at. the possibility of this being off and the cause is the only thing I can think of.
Any ideas?

The breather is located at the right rear top of the gear box. There should just be a hose on it that vents to atmosphere along the upper frame.

Thanks John, it was on and routs up over the injector and then most likely into the air box so I doubt anything got in from there. there are two clear plastic tube / drains dropping down by the rear brake pedal. one had a tiny bit of coagulated oil and the other a few drips of moisture. I don't even remember being in the rain in the 2000 miles I've owned it and when I got it I just checked the level and it was pure oil but that doesn't mean it wasn't bad down in the bottom.

You live in the south east. There is plenty of moisture just in the air. The moisture you saw probably was formed by condensation.

Gotta agree with John. My 2011 Cal with 12,500 miles had that same looking trans oil the last time I changed it & the rear was darker than normal. We have had a lot of rain here in North Central FL, my shop is very humid and I have been riding it harder.
