Web camshafts? Anyone experienced them?

Hey guys

So I'm planning to get the GT-RX fuel package in the winter when up here in Ontario Canada snow, cold weather, and salted roads pretty much put end to riding from end of Nov to end of march.

Since I'm getting to the tuning/ fuelling package I was thinking that a hotter cam would seem a easy step to take to make alittle more power and take advantage of the tuning.

The more mileage I put on the stronger the engine feels, but I still would like more hp improvement above 6000 rpm.

I was researching stuff for my wifeys ninja 300 when I came across Web Camshafts, they make 2 cams for the 750 street and race. Has anyone had experience or know of anybody who has used them on there Guzzi's? They seem reputable.

Thanks

Matt

Matt,
I took a look, and their product may be for the 750 big block. This is because they offer only two cams, for the 750 and 850, with no further details. Sounds like cams for the old big blocks.

At any rate improvement over 6k rpm will be difficult because the Heron head limits breathing. Guzzitech offers a valve package that may help, but I feel you're still spitting into the wind when looking for redline performance. For top end there's also a performance air filter, and you could also try a little headwork.

Of course all mods are like that; the performance gains are incremental. God knows I've spent $$$ mainly just for the fun of it.

Joe
