Any other stelvios going to the Touratech welsh weekend near Brecon beacons on may 20-22?

Don't want to be the only one surrounded by GS's

Have a sticker with 'GS RESCUE BIKE' on your Stelvio. That will make them smile!!!

as i still own a beemer i have cause to still go to my local bmw dealer. if i go on the stelvio on a saturday, other riders decend on it, i'm sure you'll get the same at this touretech rally

There is a Sunday morning gathering place near my home and the Stelvio always draws a crowd. Most are BMW riders who think it is the most beautiful bike. So you should have a good crowd too.

Can't wait to get the tent packed, this winters gone on for far too long!
I miss seeing this......

Are you taking a pillion Mark? I've never gone camping on my bike and quite fancy it but wondered if it's possible to do with a pillion and all the kit required for two?

Depends if your passenger is female...

I've never known a woman to get all her kit in one pannier!

Funny you should say that, I've booked a couple of hotels in Wales for a trip in April. When I said to my missus your stuff goes in that pannier and mine in this one, she looked at me like I'd gone mad. She then says " I could keep a few things in yours"

I am a very lucky guy. My wife packs lighter than I do! :D

Also, she really hates shopping. See, I am one lucky S.O.B.!

Cheers,

Bruce

Well I'm back, and I've dried out (yes it rained, well it WAS in wales)
Mine was the only Stelvio in a sea of GS's and quite a few people took pics of it and said some very nice things about it.

Which was nice! :D

Nice one Rob, glad you had a good time even though Wales was wet, but as you say, it usually is. Everywhere you go there seems to be loads of GS's, I was tempted myself, but once you've got Guzzi in your veins it's hard to let go. Dd the old girl behave herself? oh! & how was the bke, any issues ?

Cheers

No mate, good as gold.

Did 600 miles and it didn't need touching although the Rotopax came in handy to top the fuel up in the mountains!

Pleased to hear all went, just done 80 miles on mine and my arse now hates me, my seat has got to go or I must order an Air Hawk, Interesting about the fuel, I'm off to Andalucia shortly so may need some extra fuel capacity or will just have to stop around 100 miles and fuel up, which to be honest with this seat will be just about enough.

As Guards asked, have you any good photies?

Cheers

Ian

This bloke is based in Wembley and rebuilt my Stelvio seat flat rather than sloping forward, he also recommended andfitted another layer of foam on top of the existing stuff. Now no slipping towards the tank all the time and no numb arse after 100 miles.
With the Stucchi aux tank we're both happy with 200 miles between fuel stops.
He also altered a friends Suzuki seat. Nice bloke, doesn't cost a fortune and does the work quickly and well.
