I took a run out yesterday, up towards Suffolk/Norfolk. Bloody hellfire, it rained some, and then some more. I expected to cover the run a little slower than the norm, but spending all day, and I mean ALL DAY in the pissing rain was not much fun  Found a cracking pub in a little village called Munford, just off the main drag. What a welcome blessing :D Roaring log fire and cask conditioned ale. Just what was needed cos it was only 8C and pissing down non stop. Now, I know some people like to get out and ride, but WTF was I thinking? Covered 225miles around the washed out back roads that weave their way up towards carrot crunching country. Was absolutely knackered when I got back. Must have been the intense concentration of riding through torrential rain all day and the final cloudburst just before home. Loved it tho` Am I alone in enjoying getting half drowned and covered in road shite just for the sake of riding a class motorcycle?
Would have taken photos but my underwater camera was at home.

This (taken in a rare patch of sun) is what I had to ride through for 300km to get home after a weekend away on the LM1, three days of which were rain. I was just glad to survive. I took the bike for granted and that, I think, is the sign of a good machine? I love linked brakes, Goretex and BMW helmets.

One day was good though.

Great photos. I`ll be taking a few when we go to the Coupes Moto Legende at Dijon at the end of may. Providing it`s not pissing down, I`ll get the Nikon out and try and compete with yours. I don`t think I`ve ever been to Dijon and not caught some rain, whether it was on the way down, whilst we were there, or on the way back. Liked your blog on France on your website. But not the bit where you had an unscheduled dismount. Shit like that happens but at least it was only embarrassing and not serious.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope to be back in Sept-Oct this year but will be on four wheels as the spouse doesn't do two wheeled travel.

nice photos. I like post-rain shots--they're hard to capture.
