Just returned from a ride in the Malibu canyons and out to Neptune's Net (crazy out there today!!) and found the following:

Is that my valve cover gasket leaking??

Sure is! Best solution is to purchase valve cover gaskets for an 1100 (not the 1200) and fit them. Mine are now on their fourth reinstall (talk about re-usable...). The 1100 gaskets are slightly thicker and tend not to stick to the aluminium faces (which causes breakage as you remove the rocker covers) and probably starts the leak. he 1200 gaskets are thinner and also more brittle.

I invested in several sets, but still on the original set of 1100 gaskets - been there since 20,000 kilometres - now up to 60,000 k.

Very cheap and worthwhile "modification".

14023760B is the correct 1100 part. Both will fit but the 1100 ones are far superior
