I have my bike apart waiting for Todd's PC-V upgrade and some other stuff, and I noticed (hard not to) this electrical connector that goes nowhere. I thought maybe it was for some sort of diagnostic connection, but it seems to have the end sealed pretty tight in rubber. Maybe something for the ABS control unit?

Anyone know what this is? Or what this mounting spot would be for?
 
In looking at the Guzzi accessory catalog, it appears this connection may be for the alarm kit. Sort of makes sense once I saw it.

Not sure where the photo in my first post went. But the cable is on the left side of the bike, under the fairing, near the furthest point of the gas tank, stuck in a rectangular mounting piece on the frame.
