Which rear sets? (V7 special/stone)

Hi folks,

I'm converting the V7 and I feel the peg position might be better slightly rear set and angled forward rather than the current sit-up-and-beg position. I have fitted clip-ons too (similar position to the racer).

I'm curious what aftermarket rearsets are available. I don't want to spend a fortune and a slight rear-set with minimal rise would be nice.

Feel free to post your recommendations here.

Stay safe and keep the rubber on the road.

Thanks guys, I'm still a bit amazed how expensive these are compared with other brands of bike/rearset. I may need to look at modifying the originals at this rate.

It's all about supply and demand. R&D to do these to sell a few sets per year for the V7 is very hard to justify/recoup costs. Whereas for most UJMs aftermarket companies sell hundreds if not thousands of them.
I considered doing them myself based on the costs, and for the the fact that most of the year the factory versions were back ordered. But I doubt I'd sell even two sets per year, which means I'd be majorly in the red.

I bought a set of Satos from Todd. They arrived about the same time as winter so I haven't even put them on yet. Still have 4.5 months to get around to it. Jorge, spend the money. For me; I'd rather customize fit than compromise ergonomics. These aren't performance bikes, nor are they one-off ego-stroking pieces of reality show. A few bucks tossed at a project that will keep me happy over many years to come seems to be a wise investment.

Thanks Yukonica for the word of wisdom. I have just fitted some Tarrozzi clip ons (low rise - very similar to the Racer) and really enjoy the riding position. I think rear sets will complement very well but the fitment is complicated compared to other brands so I can see where the issues are in making the mounts. You are right my friend, these bikes are the work of an engineering masterclass. I am pretty sure some very passionate and clever individuals spent many sleepless nights to perfect what is an imperfect and beautiful ,machine.

I hope you are managing to keep entertained in the winter there, do Guzzi do a snowmobile?

No snow machines from Guzzi that I know of; but Italy still outshines everyone with these works of mechanical art: http://www.alpina-snowmobiles.com
Tarrozzi makes universal rear sets as do a number of other European based vendors. In the end I chose the set that offered the greatest flexibility. Same for handle bars: I went with the 4way adjustable bars from a Laverda Jota. I think they give me the best of all worlds for fitment (again for a price). I'm surprised how few people look at these before heading to clip-ons.

Just picked up a 2013 Stone. Was surprised how cramped I felt with the seat to peg relationship. I'm 5'10" with a 31-inch inseam so not a tall guy. I will try it out when the snow melts but wondering if there is a solution before I commit to the Scrambler kit from 3tre.

Mark, congrats and welcome to the GT Famiglia. Hope you'll add your info to the Registry thread HERE.
I offer 1" drop pegs for the stock set up if you settle in with OEM mounts.
