Whilst looking for loose connections around my coils ,I noticed that the white wire coming out of my voltage regulator was plugged into a connector that had both a blue wire and a red and black wire ,out of the same cable sleeve is a red wire with a female bullet connector but nothing connected to it ,should something be ?
Although I have a download of the manual ,the wiring diagram isn't clear enough to see much .
On a slightly different note , how on earth are you supposed to get the coils out ????

The blue wire goes to the charge indicator light. The red/black on the schematic goes to pin 87 of the headlight wire and on to passing light switch and the handlbar control switch (right) and the brake light switch. By the schematic there shouldn't be a red wire. It may be vestigial to the harness and was used in a different application. That wire could become a good 12 volt source for something.

The two schematics I have ('94 & '96 California 1100i) show a red wire going from the regulator to the starter motor, and then onto the +12v of the battery (via a black wire).

Thanks for taking the time to look, but I think we have our wires crossed , its the red wire hanging out of a cable sleeve off the main harness that I was asking aboot ken.
