What version of the software are you using? When you do a TPS reset does it prompt you to turn off the key or just say pass?
What is the normal range for the TPS on the little breva in degrees or volts?

The reason I ask is the previous version of the software did prompt me to turn off the bike after a TPS reset and the current version no longer does and I am not entirely sure that the zeroing has taken place. The older version of the software is no longer on the downloads page at technoresearch and the file was deleted when i installed the update.

If the TPS reset failed would that cause the status flag to be red for TPS trimmer OK? I have not encountered this status flag error until updating the software.

Thanks

I do.

But sorry; that is a once-a-year event, and really, I don't remember a thing, but would have to read the manual every time.
The latest version is a free download from TR, as I remember. But you could have an older version on the CD following the cable package?

For the 15 RC ECU, you need to look at channel "alfalin_0" That is the signal name the ECU looks at to determine TPS position. You can reset all you want, and the displayed "TPS" position won't change. It has been awhile since I used my pro version on a 15RC, so I don't remember if it asks to turn the key off then back on as with the 5AM ECUs.

The TPS trim on the 15RC cannot be set with VDSTS or Axone. Trim values changes based on Lambda reading. If there is a "red flag" on the trim something is amiss with the Lambda or the ECU.

Holt,
Yes I bet that I do have an older version of the software as a backup somewhere.

John,
I really appreciate your understanding of this VDST black box thing. It sure confuses the hell out of me. I have been using the alfa_line_0 to look at the tps voltage as you had mentioned that in an earlier thread. By the way, is that something that you worked out on your own?

Thanks!
Mark

Mark,

I had to call Techno Research, they called Marelli then got back to me.
