I was at a long red light, and tried the calibration setting. Well when I started to move it was still doing it, and now the yellow triangle warning light stays on, and seems to limit the throttle when I get into high revs. How do I fix this?

I have learned my lesson not to do this!
Thanks for any advice.

Why you would mess with something without fully knowing and understanding it? This boggles my mind.

You obviously have not read your Owners Manual. I strongly recommend that you do.

I believe this was Albert Einstein's motto. Which is why he never discovered anything :)

Incorrect.

I’m not just a dumb retired mechanic. I hold a BS, MS, PhD in molecular biology and an MBA.

What defined Professor Einstein, was that literally NONE of his work nor any of his published papers, of which I have read them all, involved physical experimentation whatsoever.

What defined him, was that literally all of his work and “research”, was done, at a desk, looking out a window, utilizing nothing but his mind, to fully play out his concepts and ideas. They were the finest examples of total mental focus in science ever, precisely because it was all brain work. All of it.

The technology of the day precluded any such physicality of experimentation whatsoever, and his hypotheses were unable to be confirmed experimentally until long after his death. 🤔

This being said, and returning to the topic at hand, my point was very simple.

1. Everybody needs to fully read their Owner’s Manual of their motorcycle. It contains vital information about your motorcycle and its features, readily available to you simply by reading.

2. Why one would press something marked “Calibrate”, in a dashboard function screen, without fully understanding what that meant? This boggles my mind.

I understand the OP realizing his mistake and thankfully, I can get him out of the weeds.

My underlying goal here is one of causing future readers to reflect upon precisely what happened here and why. Cause and effect.

More to the point…Don’t mess with stuff on your motorcycle that you do not fully understand and that understanding can be had simply by reading the documentation provided to you by the manufacturer. 🤔

So I guess that digging the gentleman out of the hole he dug for himself by providing accurate information while trying to lay the path for others in the future is?

Oh…I guess this is “mean” of me, eh?

Ok. If you say so… 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

It never ceases to amaze me how one is vilified for speaking the truth. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
