This is a slightly dated prequel, midqel, and sequel to mojohand's great ride report here:

https://www.guzzitech.com/index.php?op ... 6&id=12277

Joe and I shared part of a ride together in April. I left Atlanta, two-up, to ride to n. Virginia. It was Kathi's spring break, and that, of course, meant she wanted to visit the grandbabies; we both are interested in looking at retirement land in Virginia, and this was a great way to see a corridor I was very familiar with, but she had not seen (i.e., SR 42 from Marion to Winchester); and there was Todd's Relay to the Rally baton, which needed to get up the road soonest.

My pix -- yeah, a bunch, but I actually dumped more than a hundred of the "truly worthless!" -- tell the story without adding any narrative beyond the captions. As usual, Joe's pix are better than mine, but, if it's raining where you are, a few extra m/c pix are not a bad thing!

In theory, this url should get you there:

If not (and you care!), post or e/m me at wrhagan <at> earthlink.net, and I'll try again or e/m you.

Bill that was just great ! Thanks for he pics

Greg Locke around 1991 on the left before he went completely off the wall, that is me on the right and I have no idea why I look so grim.:woohoo: Some where in Virgina. The character in the middle is our long time friend Harry who will be at the 40th anniversary of Woodstock and yes he was there in 69 with a BSA .

Bill are you planning to go to the VA rally ?

Wow, never seen a police line-up in such a scenic setting. Which one of you did it? :p

And, yes, have a small contingent from Atlanta and points south heading to the Virginia gathering. Leaving here on Thursday a.m. (except for Wayne, who, I think, will start heading north and who knows where else first, on Sunday). I and a few others are staying at the NPSP.

Looking forward to the ride and seeing folks.

Nice one again, Bill.

But pray tell, Virginia is bourbon country, no? What are you trying to hide....? :p

Erm ... was I confounding with cigars?

Puts my question to Bill in a whole different light :silly:

Nah - My understanding is that officially bourbon can only be made in Kentucky (like Champaigne is only made in France, and anything else like it made elsewhere is Champaigne Method). Which is why Jack Daniels is Tennesee Whisky and not bourbon, even though the recipe is to my understanding basically the same.
