While polishing the headers on my Custom, noticed pinky-sized perfectly round holes in the right header, one up top on the inside a couple of inches from the port, and one on the bottom just before the heat shield. Also, some bluing adjacent to the port mostly on the inside.

Left header doesn't have the holes or the bluing.

The holes are not bung holes for sensors - I checked - they are just nicely formed round holes in the headers.

Yours have these holes? Any idea why they are there?

Are any gasses leaking out? I wonder if they are part of the manufacturing process. I have a bellagio so cant compare sorry.
 
No gas leakage - the holes are in the outer wall only. Especially strange that they appear in the right header only....
 
Double walled construction so likely for condensation or related.
 
A wild guess here....as some double walled pipes still discolour due to the heat from lean burn engines are the holes simply to let a bit more of that heat dissipate more easily?
