Being a somewhat lazy individual I figured the easiest way to hook up the GPS was to tap the power lead into the heated grip, GPS fuse. My unit is a TomTom 2013 4.3" model. For some reason sitting in the mount while not riding the battery goes dead in the unit. The bike battery is fine. If I take it out of the mount the battery seems to stay up. At first I tapped into the lighting fuse and thought it was backfeeding through the LED's. But I have the same problem on the current fuse. Where is the GPS wire supplied by Guzzi? My money says under the front tank covers but I want to be sure before removing them. Any idea what color the wire is? I can't make it out on the wiring diagram.
Yes, I am aware the fuse box layout in the manual is backwards from reality. I even pulled a couple fuses to verify that. Don't do that if you don't have the program to clear the codes. Ask me how I know! Fortunately I do have the program.
