Just got it firing!
Page 43 of the v9 service station manual 2Q000193 tells me to check the oil level in the engine with the oil filler plug/dipstick inserted but not screwed in.
Page 102 of the owners manual tells me to check the engine oil level with the oil filler plug/dipstick screwed all the way in. What do i believe - the owners manual or the service station manual?
Torque settings shown in the service station manual vary wildly for the same nut/bolt/load cap/drain plug in the same location, Some of the values given ( I'm assuming misprints ) would i think cause engine damage - i don't have any confidence in the publication and will use established values for cylinder head/drain plugs etc.
