Welcome, well thanks for the pic. I've not yet personally had them off. Looks like those nuts likely might hold it on. The top is friction fit... those I have had off dozens of times (not by choice when doing the fork rebuild/upgrades).Awesome, thanks for the tip. I noticed two nuts inside the cover wasn't sure how to proceed obviously the bracket that creates the friction.
In looking a little closer, #30 is a bolt from the top down... should you ever need to remove the lower.I think you may be right! I did briefly attempt to remove with a rubber mallet but it wouldn't budge. In the end I didn't need to remove it.
