I will check it. Thank you98% of all dash errors on Italian motorcycles can usually be linked to poor battery condition and/or ground strap connection.
If you do not maintain your battery on a battery tender, start doing this.
If you haven’t checked the bolt connecting the negative battery lead to the back of the engine block, (the ground strap) double check this. Mine was so loose I could spin it with just my fingers.
This caused errors on my dashboard until I reconnected it properly.
A little more intel on this please? If you haven’t checked the bolt connecting the negative battery lead to the back of the engine block, (the ground strap) double check this. Mine was so loose I could spin it with just my fingers.
Scott, you are wise indeed! A friend of mine was on a trip on his V100S, and got stranded out of state. Bike quit. Got it to a dealer. They tracked it down to that ground wire - completely disconnected. No issues since. So, it must be a good thing for us check!98% of all dash errors on Italian motorcycles can usually be linked to poor battery condition and/or ground strap connection.
