    Mode switch contact

Hi, My (now sold) 2007 Norge developed a small issue in the Mode switch; the selection (press) contact has become difficult. I've sprayed in what I think is a liberal amount of contact spray which helped a bit but hasn't yet resolved the issue entirely. Can this switch assembly be opened safely...

    RIP to RIP Norge :)

My Norge had been mostly Resting In Peace on our doorstep for the last 4-5 years since I somehow lost my interest in riding (and shouldn't really any longer now, with a back problem that became apparent last year). But yesterday she went back to Ride Inducing Pleasure - in the hands of a new...

Norge easy dashboard cover removal tips?

Hi, We had a hailstorm here the other day, which caused a fracture in the inner fairing aka dashboard cover. Between that and the paint issue on my fuel tank I'm really not having a lot of luck selling the bike in optimum conditions... Official estimate for replacement is 2.5 hours work which...

    Grigio Excalibur touch-up paint from rsbikepaint.com ?

Hi, Does anyone have any experience with the silver-gray (Grigio Excalibur) paint provided by rsbikepaint.com for a 2006/2007 Norge 1200? I am looking for a touch-up applicator but with 13€ shipping for 11€ of product I'd prefer some confirmation that the match is close enough before I order...

    speed bleed

Anyone know these? Seems interesting (esp. with the bleeding procedure for the ABS equipped bikes ...) though for us metric majority it would require having a non-metric wrench or socket at hand. http://www.speedbleeder.com/

Norge stock shock: when was the upgrade?

Anyone here remember when MG started to mount the heavier rear shock as a standard (month/year or VIN range)? IIRC there was a tech note calling dealers to do the upgrade on their floor models, no? TIA, René

    Cali inseam compatibility chart

Hi, I have often promised myself that one day I'd own that quintessential Guzzi, a California. The time is about right to consider one, despite an early sit-on test on a bike where my knees seemed to stick out above the tank and full lock of the handle bars was against those body parts. Didn't...

    Norge acceleratio interruptis

I haven't been doing a lot of riding lately (only about 5000km the last year, in fact), at most some 190km every two-three weeks. A couple of weeks ago I had a tyre change and an annual service (Axone, engine oil, filter, etc) after which I was told that my temperature sensor was some 10-20ºC...

    young t33n bike pr0n pics inside ;)

Yep, a totally misplaced title: a couple of pics of a 2011, 2500km young Stelvio in an advanced state of disassembly after a close encounter with an out-of-control Swiss road racer: http://guzzi.webemoi.com/viewtopic.php?p=139746#139746 (post-accident photos are earlier in the thread)...

the chore of flogging 525 poneys worth 236k$ up the Stelvio

Norge 8V becomes 4V (mono) when hot

Remember my friend with the custom-painted red Norge 8V that got a new engine after the original engine lost all oil due to the latest assembly glitch (after months of waiting, and despite the recall on the glitch that was issued just after the incident)? Since a week or two, one cylinder stops...

    dashboard voltage indication/charging system

What voltage indication do people get on their dashboards here, while riding? I realigned my lights yesterday (new optic block was apparently mounted with the bulbs in a central position...), which as you can imagine involved a period working with the engine idling, and with quite some time...

    Norge gearbox drain plug threading

...my Norge back from the long-awaited repairs needed after last summer's get-off in Barcelona yesterday. I had the 50k service done at the same time *). The usual Guzzi-specialised mechanic was on a vacation, so the work was done by the other mechanic, who left a note that apparently the...

    fuel gauge (again?)

I know this is a known, frequent issue ... but maybe someone has come up with an explanation and/or solution to the fuel-gauge-not-showing-full thing? Mine's always indicated 3/4 full for a certain number of kilometers after fill-up (and then jumped to full), but now it's more or less stuck...
