Ha ha - so you did Scott - and I made the fatal mistake of eliminating that issue because I did the spark plug cap change when Stelvio was relatively new. Back to basics. One quesiton - will a bad coil and bad HT lead throw up the same fault code?

A development: After convincing myself the problem is a TPS issues, because I thought the bike was not missing, I have just found two new stored codes on the Stelvio. P0136 Lambda sensor (right): invalid signal; and P0351 Coil left: to low. The coil fault would suggest I am getting a miss (is...
Thanks Scott. I was aware of the plug cap issues and replaced these with the NGK caps early on. I also put cable ties around the cap body, with a vertical tail, so I was pulling on the cap when removing (as well as levering from the access hole). The hesitation does not appear to be a misfire...
I had a wedge cut off my seat from 25mm rear to 0mm at front - and replaced with original cover. I found the downhil slope uncomfortable. This has improved comfort and slightly lowered the seat.

Thanks Steve. The diagnostic tool I used showed a smooth TPS graph through the throttle range. I could not see any jumps/dips in the curve. However, the fault is ramdom (not consistenty repeatable) so may not show problems when the bike is cold in the workshop.

Thanks John. I will pull the lambda sensors out and clean with heat. Would damaged lambda senor(s) cause the throttle hesitation I described?

Alan NZ
Do TPS go bad? My Stelvio has developed a ramdon, intermittent hesitation at mid-range which is not repeatable i.e. at certain revs. This disappears if I tweak the throttle (change throttle position up or down). The bike does not miss - so does not feel like an ignition problem. I have reset the...
What about an alloy plate with holes in it attached with spacers about 1" off the top of the lid? Front and rear bent up at 30-45 degrees. I've seen these mounted on the top of some panniers.
If you can find a photo you like I'll do a CAD file for you.

There is a clip on YouTube on how to modify the Trax locks so you can unlock and remove the key. I did this. It's an easy mod. Insert the key, remove barrel retaining clip, file off the little stop on the barrel step, reassemble. Made sure you leave the key inserted when doing this or the brass...
Attached are the dimensions to my stock screen calsci type modifications which has produced great results on my NTX. It worked for me but bear in mind: I am 5'8" (1.73m). I have removed 60mm from the top of the stock screen and fitted a Wunderlich spoiler. I have removed a 5-25mm wedge from...
I lost a header stud and the other nut on my Falcone yesterday riding home. I think one of the threads In the head may be worn. What's the recommended fix. Helicoil and replace the stud with high temperature loctite plus lock wire the nuts? Or no compound on the studs?
Alan NZ
Agree. All adjustments are on the left on the Stelvio (apart from idle air screws). Sacred stop is on left TB. Relative adjustment of RH TB is also on the left. Alan NZ
