I want to fit and wire a GS type phone bracket which comes with its own wiring for 2 USB ports. I want to connect this wire onto the existing USB port on the Stelvio on the left of the display.
Does anyone know how I can access this and which trim parts I have to remove to tap into this wire?
I have fitted the OEM engine bars with sliders - just in case. Never had a big crash.
I also changed my seat for the low comfort heated seat. This is is a little lower but also a little harder and more uncomfortable.
I have to commend Moto Guzzi on the uncomfortable comfort seat. I want my...
I went for a Stelvio in the end. It is 6 months old and has just covered 1200M.
I have a few questions to Stelvio owners or people in the know and I am still comparing to my old Breva 1100 which was sadly written off.
Seat height.
The previous owner fitted the standard comfort seat and I am...
Thanks for the replies.
I will now go for a Stelvio.
What wheel option is there to change from 19" to 17"?
I also want to fit a centre stand. There do not seem to be many suppliers around other than MG. Or is the Stelvio centre stand the same as the ones for the Mandello?
Thanks for the replies.
I did sit on both, standard V100 and Stelvio. "Playing" around with them on the shop floor I did think the V100 did not turn much. The standard seat on the V100 felt harder and I like more bits on the Stelvio. I would prefer the Stelvio with a road set up of the wheels...
I need to look for a new bike after I was hit by a car and my Breva will more than likely be written off.
I would like to get a comfortable bike rather than a sporty hard one.
Reading on the internet I think it might be a Mandello S or a Stelvio. I am not sure about the PFF radar one.
I am...
You can use the USB wires - switches on and off with ignition - to power a relay that also draws from a thicker wire that can be a constant 12V even. The relay takes care of the power.
Late update.
Brakemaster were helpful, but could not supply the rear seals.
I tried the local MG dealer again and the parts guy's reply was:
"MG does have this - Brembo seals .... or any Brembo spares - as a separate part because Brembo do not supply brake spare parts any more after they lost a...
I had the rear master brake cylinder apart today, foot peg hangers off and everything cleaned. There was a little bit of rust on the pushrod and inside the rubber below, but the spring action in the cylinder itself and the lever worked fine.
I then took the rear calliper off again and apart -...
Weeks later...
I also noticed that the rear brake seemed to be binding a little, i.e. it was more difficult to push the bike or just turn the wheel, the rear caliper was getting warm.
I have looked at the rear brake a few times, as in first just cleaned it first, the changed the brake fluid...
I have had the Breva since 2006 but have only done just over 30000M. I have the maintenance schedule and I have regreased the needle bearings a couple of years ago. The new wishbone has also been repacked with grease.
I do ride through the winter and there is definitely salt on the roads but I...
I did a search for conrod and broken conrod and got lot of links to engine conrods, but thanks for the link. Googling this recall now my VIN doe not seem to be affected.
2. Thread tonight.
When I was looking at my rear brake I thought I was not looking properly. My conrod seemed to have a funny shape. Lying under the bike with light the conrod had cracked fully on the right side. I do not know when this might have happened and how long I had been going round...
The brake lever on my Breva 1100 seems to have increased the travel down before the brake bites. The brake still brakes o.k..... just later, I think. I have cleaned the brake recently and also had a look at the brake pads. They are still good and do not seem to have gone down much. The brake...
I had a similar problem with the Breva 1100 dash needles.
I took it apart because I thought an electrical fault was caused by water inside the clocks - it was not the case. After putting it back together the needles seemed to be off the zero positions. I adjusted the needles by setting them back...
I got my 2005 Breva 1100 registered as compliant for free as my CoC and V5C doc state that the NOx is below the required Euro3 level of 0.15g/km.
Everyone with a pre Euro3 - 2005, 2006 and some 2007 bikes - Breva, Sport, Griso or Norge should be able to apply to TfL for an exemption for free...
I have both 76/8 and 76/14. For one oil change the filter seemed caked in and really stuck and I used the old fashioned dirty way - screwdriver in and wedge it round.
I am still looking at the V100. I downloaded the brochure from the official site and spoke to the local dealer.
According to the dealer there is no cornering ABS or 6-axis IMU, according to the brochure there IS??? He says Aprilia did not allow this to go to Moto Guzzi???
Correct me if I am...
