    09 Griso leaking cylinder

Make sure you fix this before any riding. Ask me how I know. A few thousand later.

    Looking at buying Griso.

Very nice. I'd say she'll (and you) will be much happier with the 8V engine. Can you do a shot of the rear fender?

    Create your own Guzzi

I like to see a Griso Racer that sheds weight and adds performance. Nothing ridiculous, but that would match Monster or Triumph Street. WRT weight, you can trim a lot of fat be dropping some coin, but the real weight savings would need to come in the basic package from the factory. I know it...

    Noob--general question about care

+1 for semichrome, but I haven't bothered for many moons. Life is too short. That Is one reason I like cast wheels over spokes. Seems like one of those polishing balls you put on your cordless drill would be a great product.

    Italian Griso Fest

OK, I haven't read every post on the Griso forum, but I haven't seen this pearl posted. Looks like these Italian geezers were having a blast back in 2012!

Tappet noise & strange result of valve adjustment

They cleaned it (flushed). That part of the repair. They just didn't cover the oil pump.

Tappet noise & strange result of valve adjustment

It wasn't me. It was my dealership. Again Piaggio supplied the parts. This is a totally known issue. Shop handled everything. I don't think we typically mentions names but it is in Livermore, CA. Highly recommended. You can even get yourself a Can-Am roadster (or whatever they call 'em). NOT.

Tappet noise & strange result of valve adjustment

I did. I have usually had lukewarm experience with this type of thing. But this time it paid off in a big way!! I would consider an oil pump as well based on my internet research. I did not. We'll see, won't we.

Tappet noise & strange result of valve adjustment

My 2009 with VIN that fell outside the recall went tits up about a month ago. Exactly as you describe. 10,000 miles. I am the fourth owner of this bike. #1 was highly knowledgeable all around good guy. No real info on #2 or #3 (except one of the is a cheap ass bitch and sold the Custom Corbin...

    Tyres for Griso

Were those Dunlops Q2 or Q3? My first replacements (on my second hand '09 8V) were Q3s and while I can see they are not going to be high mileage tyres I will have fun for a decent amount of time. Reporting live from SF Bay Area, so I do have a little stabbing to get to the good roads. I am...

    Rizoma turn signals

Did you check out the Motogadget ones? I think the store has the bar end ones but they make others. They look extremely nice.

Need your help with Le Mans mk4

Loved mine! Crashed (not my fault, thank you very much). Get yourself a fork brace and have fun. Lovely!

    Service Stand Question

I don't think they know what a Moto Guzzi is at Redline Engineering. That's exactly the info I am looking for-specific to a Griso. Hopefully someone will have dropped $300 and has some feedback.

    Rear turn signal options

Nice. Thanks. You seem to only have nice things for sale. I have PTSD from when meth smokers would brush by my SP and break off my spark plug for use as a pipe. I never understood how or why this would happen til I saw someone using smoking from one. Not angry just disappointed in humanity...

    Service Stand Question

They all seem way overpriced if you ask me. I'll definitely check this out. Seems like a good project to learn some basic welding on.

    Rear turn signal options

Ah, the joys of city living.... Some Griso-jealous, ass hole, tweaker mother-effer relieved me of one of my rear turn signal. I like the LED license plate offered by Todd, but am concerned about visibility and functionality. Same as last post. Anyone have personal experience? Is it...

    Service Stand Question

Having read the available info on the optios for a lift that will allow wheel removal and suspension work, I see the options as three: 1) mg service lift, 2) Becker-Technik (not in US) and 3) Redline Engineering sport bike lift. Does anyone have specific experience with the Redline offering? It...

    New used 2009 Griso 8v

Yes, I believe it is. I was just cleaning thing up in anticipation of the long trip to Bolinas (hahaha) for the gathering. I did notice the mudguard is black. Great bike. I would love to have all the info you have, obviously. I'll look up all your old threads as well. I figured the slip-on was...

    New used 2009 Griso 8v

My 2005 KTM ADV950s got stolen. I was on the way to get an FZ-09 to get back into the sport touring/fast riding. One quick trip to Scuderia West (SF) just to see what they had. My wife pointed out a well sorted black Griso with low miles (while I was drooling over 1190 Adventure). Never had seen...
