    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I will give the shop a call tomorrow and see how responsive they are to check a few more things. The last time it took them a month to check out my bike. This has got to be one of the worst shops I have been. I truly think if I can get a good deal o ZX14 or an R1, I will be gone from this nonsense.

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

The bike ha. around 1100 miles on it. The service/oil change was performed by the dealer. The dealer has pissed me off. I went to them about my issue and they want to act like I am crazy. I love the bike, but I am a good deal away from trading this issue away. The store manager does not listen...

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I have sent an email to Moto Guzzi asking if it is a "requirement" that I warm the bike up prior to me riding. All I would need is to get going, the transmission not be warmed up enough and can't get out of 1st gear. That would create a bad day.

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

John, I wish that would work. Unless I warm it up first, the linkage in the transmission is cold and It will NOT go into second gear. In the summer time I do not appear to have this issue. I am VERY close to trading the bike in on ZX-14R.

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I would like to further ask the forum how long does one need to warm the bike. The manual says to "NOT" idle the bike to warm the engine oil. Can someone please provide me with guidance. It worked find after I gave it 5 to 7 minutes to "warm" ,but am I NOT supposed to have to do this??

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I just rode home. It is 62 degrees here and the transmission worked okay. I just don't think these bikes like it either cold nor hot. The bike likes to be ridden around 75 degrees.

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I am riding the bike this weekend. I let it warm up 5-7 minutes today and it worked fine. John Ziebell had mentioned the gearbox changing after a service/oil change. Now that you mention it, I do think it started after my first service. If it persists or gets worse over the Holidays, I will...

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

Well, I finally got my bike back. I have been told it is me and not the bike. I don't buy that, but have been told these bikes are a bit finicky. It is really tough to ride when it is cold. It is difficult to get it into 1st gear until it has sat, heating up. If I try to ride it without giving...

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I love the look of my bike. I am going to be giving the local dealership a call tomorrow. Going to have them check the bike.

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I hope you are correct. I am taking it into the shop this week. If this becomes a nagging issue, I will be ridding myself of the problem. I love the bike, but I am not going to babysit it the rest of the time I own it. From the same dealer, there was another guy who bought the same model and he...

    V7 Racer Transmission Issue

I had a minor issue in the summer with my transmission. The neutral light will go out and act like its in 1st gear, but when I go to shift, it is clear not and will just rev high. I have to tinker with it to get it into 1st gear. This morning, I had to wait until it get hot so it would go from...

    V7 Miles Per Gallon

I put gas in the bike today. The warning light came on and I have approximately 2 gallons left. The plus is that I am getting right around 53 MPG. That is awesome.

    Foot Peg Question

Thanks Todd. I appreciate the info. Getting my bike back is like riding a new bike again. It does not have all the noise it made before :-).

    Foot Peg Question

It is nice to know I was not alone with the issue. I looked yesterday and it does look like they used spacers as well. That works for me. As long as the earthquake shakes from my foot pegs are gone...I am good to go.

    Foot Peg Question

I got my precious V7 Racer back today. They have resolved my foot peg problem. The finally called Piaggio like I asked them to do. It appears every once in a while the Kick-stand is positioned in such a way that when the engine gets hot, it will rattle agains the exhaust that feels like it comes...

    Foot Peg Question

Yeah....I called the shop a little while ago and they are "working" on my bike. I do think there is something rubbing or vibrating on the bike. I have told them about it since it had 40 miles on it. It now has 470. I think part of my problem is the dealership sells them, but I do not think they...

    V7 Miles Per Gallon

Those are awesome numbers everyone is receiving on their bikes. I will be riding mine to and from work with a good stretch on the highway. I am hopeful of getting around 50+ :) .

    V7 Racer Seat Question

I apologize for not thanking the group sooner for the feedback as I did not get an email letting me know of your answers :) . My bike is in the shop right now for an engine "shake". I will just use it as I would normally and use the cover if I stop at the store and it appears like it will rain...
  19. Steven Ellsworth

    Foot Peg Question

Well, I hope the shake is nothing. I love the bike. The shake is when the bike has been riding a while. For instance, if I go from light to light to light and then slow down at a light, the shake is super prevalent. The dealership called Piaggio today to ask them about it. They THINK it is...

    Foot Peg Question

This is sort of part of my other question concerning an "engine shake." It is going into the shop on Tuesday have a baffle replaced. The more and more I drive it, it seems like the foot pegs on both sides shake as the engine shakes. This seems to only happen when the engine is hot and at idle...
