    Shock of the New.... oil

Fork oil will get really dirty and pretty quickly. There's a lot going on in there with oil flowing around. I'd sure change it when recommended at a minimum. It's not hard if you don't have to do seals or bushings, just dump and refill.

    Stelvio windscreen

The top of the dash rubs the inside of the screen. I don't remember for sure if it rubs on the front side of the bodywork. They included 2 big washers to space out the lower mounts, I added 4 more for a total of 3 washers on each side. Dan Ketchpel on advrider made some spacers to move the...

    Stelvio windscreen

I purchased a CalSci recently because I was happy with the first generation and with one I put on a Multistrada. I would not recommend one for the current Stelvio. It will rub without spacers and I wasn't happy with performance. I currently have a x-creen lip on the stock screen. Keith

    Ethanol Tank Swelling

I never had a problem with my '09 Stelvio tank, it had ethanol for 5 years and 55,000 mi. I had a Stucci aux tank that I couldn't keep sealed around the fuel pump, do to ethanol I believe. Ducati still can't solve the problem on the Multistrada.

    Stelvio Wishlist

Location was the hard part. I mounted it inside the right pannier bracket in the void where a muffler might be. Chuck H has a pretty good writeup, search in the Stelvio section. I think he mounted the unit under the seat.

Congratulations Roy, Let me know when you find the best location for a karma bell. Hope to see it in June at the National.

For the love of God, someone please talk some sense into me!

I put 55,000 mi on an '09 before a deer killed it. It never darkened the door of a shop, I did routine maintenance every 6,000 and a general tear down and refreshing at 50,000. I searched for a dealer with both a Norge and Stelvio to ride recently, with the intention of buying the Norge. I...

    Stelvio Wishlist

I put a Rostra on my '09 just before a deer killed it. I'll probably try to move to my new '15 this winter. A gear indicator would be nice also, but not as important as the cruise. Keith

    MY 2016 Questions

Not sure when it happened, but my '15 has both headlights on for high and low beam.

    DIY service

My 2009 never saw a dealer in 55,000 mi. But then a deer killed it.

    Mike Bacon Crash and Burn

Todd, As much as I loved my Stelvio, life's short and motorcycles are many, so I think I'll be shopping the NTX against the new Caponord and the Multistrada. One of them will speak to me, I know the Guzzi does. I kept the old bike and have no plans for the engine. The right valve cover has a...

    Mike Bacon Crash and Burn

Mike, This broken thumb is easily the most trivial injury I've subjected myself too, and I find it the most annoying. I think it might be less resiliance as I get older. I'm afraid if I did both hands at once it could be my last motorcycle accident. Needless to say, I'm pretty impressed with...

    Mike Bacon Crash and Burn

Mike, I was so sorry to hear about your crash, I've really enjoyed following you around Visalia the last couple years and missed you this year. Unfortunately I hit a deer on the way to work a month ago totaling my Stelvio. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you, I just broke my left...
